Long Range Advanced: 201 is a two-day intensive designed for experienced shooters ready to elevate their long-range performance. Hosted at Colemans Creek, a 1,000-acre training facility in Ellerbe, NC, this course covers ballistic science, positional shooting, and extended-distance engagements.
Training begins with a fundamentals refresher before moving into advanced concepts:
- In-depth external ballistics and solver application
- Long-range data trueing and environmental corrections
- Advanced wind reading techniques and mirage analysis
- Targets engaged from 100 yards to 1 mile
- Shooting from alternate and improvised positions using props and terrain
The course runs from 9 AM to 3 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, with optional 1-on-1 training available each afternoon for those looking to refine specific skills.
Expect to train on natural terrain ranges with PRS-style props, steel targets, and high-angle lanes designed for real-world application.
Required gear includes:
- Rifle (.223–.338) with 1 MOA or better accuracy
- Scope with external MIL/MOA turrets
- Bipod, rear bag, 220 rounds of match-grade ammo
- Hearing and eye protection, ballistic solver (app or Kestrel), and data book
- Rain gear, lunch/snacks
Recommended gear:
- Spotting scope, laser rangefinder, chronograph, shooting mat and bags
