Each day focuses on a distinct phase of long-range development:
Day 1: PR 1.1 – Foundation First
Learn rifle safety, marksmanship fundamentals, recoil management, scope theory, and ballistic calculator setup. Zero your rifle, capture chronograph data and reinforce mechanics with 100-yard drills on grouping, NPA, and malfunction clearing.
Day 2: PR 1.2 – Ballistics, Wind & Execution
Dive deeper into internal/external ballistics, environmental, and wind correction. Apply ballistic theory on steel targets at a distance, with real-world DOPE validation, guided positional shooting, and time-based scoring drills.
Day 3, included in the entire course, expands on these foundations with advanced concepts, shooter validation, and comprehensive ballistic refinement.
Training is delivered at Max Ordinate HQ in Southern California through a mix of lectures, whiteboard breakdowns, dry runs, and live-fire drills. Targets range from paper to long-range steel, with positional and time constraints integrated throughout the process.
Gear & Prep:
No prerequisites are required. Bring a precision rifle (zero-ready or to be zeroed), scope with dialable turrets, ballistic calculator (AB/Kestrel), and at least 300 rounds of match-grade ammo. The course includes a printed workbook, certificate, and Max Ordinate tee.
