Long Range Basic: 101 at Colemans Creek is the ideal entry point for shooters new to long-range precision. Set in a premier 1,000-acre facility in Ellerbe, NC, with ranges extending to 1 mile and military-grade shooting infrastructure, this one-day course is designed to solidify essential skills.
You'll cover:
- Proper rifle setup and optic adjustments
- Zeroing techniques at 100 yards
- Core marksmanship fundamentals
- Intro to external ballistics and ballistic solvers
- Wind reading and practical target engagements from 100 to 1,000 yards
Instruction runs from 9 AM to 3 PM and includes the option to book personalized follow-up training in the afternoon.
Shooting is done on natural terrain with steel targets across varied distances. PRS-style props and shooting benches are available throughout the range.
Required gear includes:
- Rifle (.223–.338) with 1 MOA or better accuracy
- Scope with external elevation/windage adjustments (MIL or MOA)
- Bipod, rear bag, 120 rounds of match-grade ammo
- Hearing and eye protection, ballistic app/Kestrel, and data book
- Rain gear, lunch/snacks
Recommended gear:
- Spotting scope, LRF, chronograph, shooting bags/mat
