Five-day designated marksman instructor course for LE, military, and government shooters, focused on DMR employment and program management.

This five-day, 50-hour course is built for active law enforcement, military personnel, or credentialed government contractors who already have a patrol rifle foundation and are expected to build or run an agency designated marksman capability. It expands on Ridgeline LE's designated marksman training by adding instructor-level material on qualifications, candidate selection, equipment procurement, and management of a designated marksman program.
Instruction centers on running a magnified-optic patrol rifle with more precision and speed across short, intermediate, and unknown-distance problems. Shooters work rapid engagements, advanced wind, alternate positions, barricade support, moving targets, field firing scenarios, stress shoots, and low-light work with white light, along with familiarization with night vision, intermediate barriers, terminal ballistics, perimeter and containment considerations, and counter-sniper target detection.
Key training areas include:
This course best fits certified firearms instructors or agency-assigned marksmen who need both shooter performance and program management skills. Students must be active LE, military, or a credentialed government contractor, have passed a patrol rifle course, and bring a 2 MOA or better patrol rifle with a magnified optic plus the required ammunition load.

Ridgeline Defense is a New Hampshire-based training company with an additional Florida facility, delivering tactical and precision rifle instruction through open-enrollment courses and MIL/LE programs.
