L1 Long Range Ballistics Class

This is a two-day classroom and range course built for shooters who need a solid entry point into long range ballistics and field-oriented rifle use. Long Range University uses it as the first level in a building-block progression, with instruction centered on assembling a dependable shooting system, building marksmanship fundamentals, and understanding the factors that drive lethal hit probability.

Instruction moves between classroom work and live-fire exercises. Shooters learn how rifle, optic, ammunition, and ballistic solver choices work together, then apply that through zeroing, bench work, ballistic profile creation in the Revic app, trajectory validation, and truing. The second day adds cold bore work, rifle maintenance, external ballistics, an introduction to BDC turrets, and practical shooting, along with shooter-spotter communication and wind holds to support better decisions under field pressure.

Key training areas include:

• Selecting rifle, scope, ammunition, and ballistic program components for a reliable long range shooting system
• Zeroing, bench shooting exercises, and building core marksmanship fundamentals for accurate long range fire
• Creating a ballistic profile in the Revic app, then validating trajectory and truing the solver with live fire
• Shooter and spotter communication, wind holds, and understanding shooter, rifle, and environmental factors that affect hit probability
• Cold bore shot exercises, bore cleaning and rifle maintenance, plus introductory BDC turret and practical shooting exercises

This course fits newer long range shooters, hunters, and experienced riflemen who want a structured baseline before moving into more advanced work. Students need a smartphone capable of running the Revic ballistic app and standard range clothing, and the course provides the rifle system so personal rifles are not used in this class.
