Police Marksman I Sniper

This 5-day live-fire and field skills course is built for current law enforcement and military personnel developing a tactical scoped rifle foundation. The program centers on close-range precision, field craft, and observation and reporting, with individual evaluation at the end of the course used to determine each shooter’s optimum engagement range rather than requiring a fixed pass standard.

Instruction covers rifle and optic terminology, scope setup and adjustment, marksmanship fundamentals, and the shot process, then builds into positional shooting and practical sniper tasks. Students also work through basic external ballistics, atmospheric effects, databook use, camouflage and concealment, rural movement, and shooting through glass or other obstacles, with topics adjusted by instructors as needed for safety and student capability.

• Scope and precision rifle terminology, nomenclature, setup, and function
• MOA and milliradian concepts, plus basic external ballistics and atmospheric effects
• Marksmanship fundamentals, the shot process, and adjusting optics for impact shift on demand
• Positional shooting with a scoped rifle and use of a databook for recording performance
• Observation and reporting, camouflage and concealment, rural movement, and shooting through glass or obstacles

This course best fits LE and military shooters who need a foundational sniper skill set with strong emphasis on close-range application. Students must be current law enforcement or military and bring a safe, functional centerfire rifle capable of 1 MOA accuracy, suitable ammunition, and field gear needed to train on the range and carry essential equipment.
