This 1-day Positional Clinic from Emissary Consulting is built for shooters who already understand their rifle and want to improve performance off anything that is not prone. The focus is entirely on positional shooting, with no time spent on rifle setup, basic fundamentals, or ballistics. Students are expected to arrive with confirmed data and the ability to run their rifle independently.
The day starts with open range time to confirm zero and ensure rifles are ready, then quickly shifts into applied positional work. Instruction is hands-on, using available props such as tripods, barricades, and natural terrain. If conditions allow, a scope camera may be used to demonstrate sight picture, movement, and correction.
Training centers on building stable positions, managing wobble, and understanding how body mechanics, support bags, and rifle interface affect shot consistency. Shooters will work through drills at distance and under time, including uncomfortable and improvised positions that reflect real match or field conditions.
