Ryan D’Agostino is a former USMC Scout Sniper and lead instructor with Modern Day Sniper, now running Emissary Consulting, delivering precision rifle, scoped carbine, and LE sniper training nationwide.
Ryan D’Agostino is a former U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Rifleman who served with 1/6 before earning a position within Scout Sniper Platoons, including assignments in STA (Surveillance & Target Acquisition). His foundation in precision rifle shooting was built during this time, shaping his approach to applied marksmanship and fieldcraft.
After leaving active duty in 2016, Ryan pursued diverse roles across K9 handling, contracting, and firearms instruction, eventually stepping into a full-time instructor position with Achilles Heel Tactical. There, he taught pistol and carbine courses nationwide while developing and leading Precision Rifle and Scoped Carbine programs.
He later joined Modern Day Sniper as their first full-time instructor, delivering training to civilian, law enforcement, and international SOF units, and serving as Lead Instructor for the Law Enforcement Sniper Program. Ryan has also supported LMT in weapons testing as a designated shooter.
He now operates Emissary Consulting LLC while working with Knight’s Armament, continuing to train MIL, LEO, and civilian shooters with a strong emphasis on real-world application and continuous development.
