LONG RANGE Precision 2.0 / HUNTER

Ghost Firearms Training’s _Long Range Precision 2.0 / Hunter_ is a challenging 2-day course designed for experienced marksmen ready to push beyond the fundamentals. Held at the Ben Franklin Range in Templeton, PA, this advanced class blends long-range precision with realistic hunting scenarios and dynamic positional shooting across natural rolling hills.

Students will engage with over 50 steel targets, ranging from 100 to 900 yards, with bonus shots available up to 1,500 yards when applicable. Expect life-size animal targets with vital zones, time-pressured stages, team drills, and a final Top Shot scoring challenge. Unlike earlier courses, this one prioritizes real-world decision-making over formal UKD scoring. Hunters may bring their field rifles if they meet accuracy and setup requirements.

Shooters will operate from varied positions, including tripods, vehicles, tank traps, rooftops, packs, and natural terrain features, not just a prone position. A solid zero, ballistic data, and comfort shooting to 900 yards are prerequisites. This is not a beginner class; completion of LRP 1.5 or equivalent training is required for participation.

Students must bring a properly configured bolt-action rifle or AR-10 rifle in a caliber between .243 and .338 (excluding .50 cal or AR-15 calibers), match-grade optics, and ammunition (180+ rounds), as well as a rangefinder rated to 1,000 yards. Tripods, Kestrels, spotting gear, and ballistics apps are highly encouraged.
