Advance beyond prone shooting with positional work, tripod use, and PRS-style stage execution under realistic conditions.

Precision Rifle Elevation is built for shooters ready to move beyond basic prone work and develop real capability in positional and dynamic shooting environments. Hosted at Ben Franklin Range in Templeton, PA, this 2.5-day course focuses on building efficiency, adaptability, and stage awareness-key traits for both field shooters and PRS-style competitors.
The course begins with a fundamentals refresher and confirmation of zero, ensuring rifles and data are dialed before progressing into more complex applications. From there, training shifts into positional shooting across a wide range of props, obstacles, and improvised supports. Students learn how to quickly build stable positions, manage recoil, and maintain sight picture under less-than-ideal conditions.
A major focus is tripod deployment and utilization, covering multiple shooting techniques that reflect modern long-range and competition environments. Moving targets and unknown distance engagements are introduced to challenge timing, tracking, and decision-making under pressure.
Stage-based training is a core component, with mock PRS-style stages used to teach stage prep, gear management, and efficient engagement sequences. Students will use a Kestrel 5700 Elite (provided) to generate rifle data and build custom target cards tailored to each stage.
What you’ll cover:
With approximately 300 rounds fired, this course bridges the gap between static marksmanship and real-world or competition shooting.
Ideal for shooters stepping into PRS-style environments or looking to build confidence outside the prone position.
