Over 2.5 days, students will receive focused classroom instruction, followed by immersive range sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
You'll learn how to properly set up your rifle, mount and configure your optic, and understand the principles of ballistics. A loaned Kestrel 5700 Elite allows you to build and manage your rifle profile like a pro—ideal for those who haven't yet purchased ballistic tools.
Core instruction includes:
- Safe handling and rifle mechanics
- Optic mounting and configuration (MIL & MOA explained)
- Ballistics and chronographing your rifle
- Kestrel 5700 profile setup and usage
- Positional fundamentals and prone shooting
- Confirming your zero and engaging targets at a distance
- Wind reading and basic environmental adjustments
- Practical range drills to reinforce concepts
You'll shoot approximately 250 rounds, with the flexibility to bring more as needed. This course runs Friday evening (classroom) and full days on Saturday and Sunday (live-fire).
It is ideal for both beginners and serious shooters looking to build their long-range foundation.
Loaner ballistic tools were provided; early registration is recommended.
