Hat Creek Training, run by Bryan and Misty Morgan near Riggins and Pollock, Idaho, delivers long-range, high-angle precision rifle training for civilians and MIL/LE.

Hat Creek Training operates from a purpose-built mountain facility near Riggins and Pollock, Idaho, in the Seven Devils range above Hells Canyon. Founded by Bryan and Misty Morgan in 2017, the school centers on long-range and high-angle precision work in steep terrain with changing winds, natural terrain shooting positions, and substantial movement on foot. Training is open to the public and also supports military and law enforcement groups with programs tailored to individual or organizational needs.
The instructor cadre brings more than 100 years of combined military experience across conventional and Special Operations assignments, plus 20 years of competition shooting experience. Founder and lead instructor Bryan Morgan is identified as a PRS champion. Publicly listed courses include a 4-day Advanced Precision Rifle class for experienced long-range shooters and a 4-day Precision Mountain Hunter course that combines marksmanship with backcountry hunting skills, tripod and improvised support use, ballistic truing, and a simulated mountain hunt. The 5,000-plus-acre facility includes long-range rifle areas, a pistol and carbine range, and roughly 1,000 targets spread through extreme terrain.
Who It's For

Hat Creek fits shooters who already have a baseline in rifle handling and want mountain-specific wind, angle, mobility, and positional work under real terrain pressure.
