Four-day advanced precision rifle course from Hat Creek for experienced long-range shooters refining field marksmanship and ballistic application.

This 4-day, hands-on advanced precision rifle course is built for shooters who already have prior long-range experience and want to refine field application, ballistic understanding, and positional performance. Instruction centers on practical work with seasoned Hat Creek staff, using natural terrain and field problems to sharpen decision-making and shot execution.
Shooters work through advanced internal and external ballistics, extended long-range calculations, and ballistic solver or Kestrel use, then apply that data to cross-canyon shots, mountain winds, high-angle problems, and rapid engagements. The course also emphasizes alternate positions, tripod use, and natural terrain utilization so students can build stable solutions instead of relying only on flat-range setups.
Key training areas include:
This course best fits experienced long-range shooters, competitors, hunters, and MIL or LE personnel who already understand basic rifle setup and marksmanship. Students need a precision rifle system, a scope with at least 10x magnification, a minimum of 300 rounds, and field gear suitable for hiking and positional work.

Hat Creek Training, run by Bryan and Misty Morgan near Riggins and Pollock, Idaho, delivers long-range, high-angle precision rifle training for civilians and MIL/LE.
