Paramount Tactical Solutions is a veteran-owned, elite training provider delivering precision rifle and tactical instruction to civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel. Led by former Special Forces snipers and federal firearms instructors, Paramount combines real-world combat experience with methodical, performance-driven training, offered at fixed and mobile facilities nationwide.
Flagship offerings include the XP Long Range Academy, a progressive three-tier rifle program co-developed with Ray Helms of X-Ring.
These courses are tailored to meet shooters at any stage:
- Level I: Ballistics, rifle setup, and marksmanship foundations.
- Level II: Wind calls, data refinement, and environmental adaptability.
- Level III: Advanced target engagement, field tactics, and extreme-distance shooting.

Training is spearheaded by Gary Melton, a former U.S. Army Special Forces Sniper Team Leader with multiple combat deployments, alongside instructor Jonathan Ames and other instructors within the cadre, who possess deep military or federal agency backgrounds.
