Long Range Shooters of Utah is a Utah-based training group that delivers 2-day precision rifle courses at North Springs, focusing on real-world rifles and guaranteed 1,000-yard hits.

Long Range Shooters of Utah (LRSU) is a Utah-based precision rifle training school and media platform built around helping everyday shooters achieve reliable long-range performance without relying on high-end custom gear. Operating primarily out of North Springs Shooting Range near Price, Utah, LRSU delivers structured, results-driven instruction designed for hunters and recreational shooters aiming to confidently reach 1,000 yards and beyond.
Their training philosophy centers on practical application using real-world equipment, emphasizing that consistent long-range hits are achievable with commercially available rifles, optics, and proper fundamentals. This approach has positioned LRSU as a strong entry point for shooters transitioning from mid-range distances into true long-range shooting.
The flagship 2-Day Intro to Long-Range Shooting Course is built around a progressive format:
The defining feature is the “Milk Jug Challenge,” a 1 MOA target at 1,000 yards, where students are expected to achieve hits under time pressure with no sighters. LRSU is known for consistently delivering on this outcome, even for shooters who have never fired past 300 yards.
Courses utilize a range capable of 1,000-yard engagements with ELR extensions to 1 mile (1,760 yards), with optional attempts at extended distances. Rental packages and structured coaching make the program accessible while still maintaining performance standards.
Beyond training, LRSU operates as a regional hub for long-range shooters, producing content, running events, and supporting the Utah precision rifle community.
If your goal is to move from guessing at distance to confidently hitting 1,000 yards with your own rifle, this is where you prove it.
