Develop foundational long-range skills, ballistic understanding, and consistent impacts on steel targets out to 1,000 yards.

This 2-day Intro to Long Range course is designed to build a solid foundation in precision rifle shooting, taking students from basic rifle handling to confident long-range engagements. The focus is on establishing a repeatable shooting process, understanding equipment limitations, and applying data-driven corrections to achieve consistent results at distance.
Instruction begins with classroom-based learning covering ballistics, rifle setup, and solver integration. Students will learn to generate accurate firing solutions from environmental inputs and rifle data, then apply them during live-fire sessions. Strong emphasis is placed on removing shooter-induced error and building consistency through proper fundamentals.
On the range, training progresses from zero confirmation at 100 yards to engaging steel targets out to 1,000 yards. Shooters work in pairs to reinforce spotting, communication, and correction. If time allows, extended-distance shooting opportunities out to 1,200 yards, 1,500 yards, and 1 mile are available, including optional Milk Jug Challenges that test precision under time pressure.
Key training areas include:
This course is best suited for beginner to intermediate shooters looking to build a reliable long-range foundation using practical equipment. Students must arrive with a rifle capable of 1 MOA accuracy, quality optics with external adjustments, and match-grade ammunition.
