Two-day introductory precision rifle course led by SOF instructors for shooters building practical long-range marksmanship fundamentals.

This 2-day precision rifle course runs in a live-fire format, including a night range block on day one, and is built for shooters who want a grounded introduction to long-range marksmanship with a tactical emphasis. Instruction is delivered by SOF instructors, who frame the material around practical lessons from operational use and explain the reasoning behind current precision rifle methods.
Students work through rifle and scope setup, core marksmanship fundamentals, and the difference between accuracy and precision before moving into zeroing, natural point of aim, and position building. The course also introduces internal and external ballistics, range estimation, wind and environmental effects, trace observation, shooter-spotter communication, and the collection and confirmation of data for scope and reticle use, including work from barricades and other non-standard positions.
Key training areas include:
This course fits newer precision rifle shooters, hunters, competitors, and MIL/LE personnel who need a solid baseline. Students need a durable rifle capable of 1 MOA at 100 yards, a tactical scope, bipod, rear support, sling, and 200 rounds of ammunition.

Tactical Rifleman, led by retired Army Special Forces veteran Karl Erickson, operates from host ranges around the U.S. and teaches defensive firearms, tactical riflecraft, and precision rifle training.
