Master Sergeant (Retired) Zevon Lee Durham, known as Zee, is a former U.S. Army infantryman and Special Forces soldier who now works as a firearms and defensive tactics instructor. He began with 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Rakkasans at Fort Campbell, serving as a machine gunner, fire team leader, squad leader, and recon team leader, with deployments to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
After completing the Special Forces Qualification Course, he served with 5th Special Forces Group Airborne in A/1/5, the group’s direct action and hostage rescue specialty company. His assignments included SF Engineer Sergeant, Senior Engineer Sergeant, Cell Leader, Team Sergeant, and Battalion S-3 Operations Sergeant.
