Retired Army Master Sergeant and former Special Forces soldier teaching firearms and defensive tactics with extensive combat and training experience.


Master Sergeant (Retired) Zevon Lee Durham, known as Zee, is a former U.S. Army infantryman and Special Forces soldier who now works as a firearms and defensive tactics instructor. He began with 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Rakkasans at Fort Campbell, serving as a machine gunner, fire team leader, squad leader, and recon team leader, with deployments to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
After completing the Special Forces Qualification Course, he served with 5th Special Forces Group Airborne in A/1/5, the group’s direct action and hostage rescue specialty company. His assignments included SF Engineer Sergeant, Senior Engineer Sergeant, Cell Leader, Team Sergeant, and Battalion S-3 Operations Sergeant. Across multiple Middle East deployments, he trained and worked alongside partner forces in combat environments.
His background includes Special Forces Sniper School Level 2, SFARTAETC, Ranger School, SERE, and several advanced shooting courses. His instruction is centered on practical gunhandling, defensive problem solving, and maintaining composure under violent pressure.
