Two-day intermediate precision rifle course on 5.56 gas-gun marksmanship and SPR concepts led by MSG (ret) Steve Holland.

This 2-day classroom and range course is built for shooters working with a 5.56mm semi-auto precision rifle who want a grounded introduction to intermediate-range marksmanship through the SPR lens. Lead instructor MSG (ret) Steve Holland and SOF cadre use the MK-12 program as a framework to teach not just competitive shooting skills, but also the practical setup, ballistic understanding, and field application behind designated marksman rifle use.
Instruction covers how to configure the rifle and optic, establish and confirm zero, and build stable positions for accurate fire from prone, barricades, and other non-standard positions. Shooters also work through the difference between accuracy and precision, natural point of aim, gas-gun recoil management for faster follow-up shots, and the basics of internal and external ballistics, wind estimation, range estimation, and data collection so they can understand the what and why behind each correction.
Key training areas include:
This course fits shooters with a solid interest in 5.56 precision gas-gun work, including competitors, hunters, and MIL or LE personnel. Students need a durable 5.56mm semi-auto rifle capable of 1 MOA at 100 yards, a tactical scope, bipod, rear support, sling, and 300 rounds.

Tactical Rifleman, led by retired Army Special Forces veteran Karl Erickson, operates from host ranges around the U.S. and teaches defensive firearms, tactical riflecraft, and precision rifle training.
