Andrew Beatty, a SWAT sniper, OIF veteran, and competitive shooter, leads Headspace Rifle Training Co. in Montana, offering LE sniper certification and field-tested rifle training from a 600-acre mountain facility.
Andrew Beatty is the co-founder and lead instructor of Headspace Rifle Training Co. (HRTC), a premier training school based in Montana. Andrew is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and currently works as a full-time LEO. He has over a decade of experience with SWAT, including eight years as a sniper and team leader of the sniper team. His extensive background includes many high-risk deployments, providing him with the real-world knowledge that informs HRTC's practical, field-tested curriculum.
Andrew is certified as a sniper instructor and armorer, with specialized training in mountain and urban sniper operations, moving targets, and instructor development. He's also a precision rifle competitor with multiple top-10 finishes, including a first-place win at the 2022 TTG Sniper Challenge. His hands-on understanding of precision shooting under pressure directly informs the methods taught at HRTC.
Outside of uniform, Andrew is an avid hunter and ballistics expert. He spends over 40 days a year in the field harvesting game, including elk, mule deer, moose, and black bear. His in-depth knowledge of bullet construction has been sought by international R&D teams designing sniper-specific projectiles for law enforcement.
