Three-day intermediate scout and precision rifle course for LE snipers, hunters, and citizens, building on Level I fieldcraft and marksmanship.

This 3-day field and range course builds on Scout Recon Level I and is designed for law enforcement snipers and designated marksmen, experienced hunters, and capable citizens who want more work in stalking, spotting, and precision rifle application. Instruction combines precision marksmanship refreshers with repeated scout-recon exercises, including stalks run in both sniper and spotter roles and target engagements that extend into evening conditions.
Shooters review the fundamentals that support consistent hits, then apply them in more demanding field problems. The curriculum covers zero confirmation, establishing and confirming DOPE, reticle-based ranging, wind and environmental reading, bullet trace observation, and the use of holds for faster engagements. On the recon side, students work camouflage, movement, concealment, surveillance considerations, and shooting from hidden positions, with practical exercises built around minimizing exposure and making better use of terrain.
Key training areas include:
This course is best suited for shooters who already have a solid baseline with a precision or hunting rifle and want more field application than a square-range class provides. Students need a bolt-action or semi-automatic precision-capable rifle with an adjustable optic and long-range reticle, about 250 rounds, and basic recon items for stalks and field movement.
