Jeffrey R. Haskin is a seasoned sniper instructor, trainer, and combat veteran with a distinguished 21-year U.S. Army career. Following the events of 9/11, Jeff enlisted and went on to serve multiple roles, including a combat deployment to Iraq (2003–2004) and over a decade as a lead instructor at the National Guard Marksmanship Training Center's Sniper School. There, he trained thousands of U.S. Army snipers and helped shape the future of military precision shooting.
A key contributor to the development of the _WPW Sniper Championship_ at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, Jeff worked with domestic and allied forces to push sniper team performance under stress. He also collaborated with Picatinny Arsenal and Battle Lab on the next generation of sniper systems, including the M107 advanced ammunition, the Integrated Ballistic Reticle System (IBRS), and the M110A1 Semi-Auto Sniper System (SASS).
Jeff's final assignment was with the elite _Pagan Raiders_ of the 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry, where he led what was arguably one of the most advanced sniper sections in the U.S. Army. His team not only held B4 qualifications across the board but also completed USMC Scout Sniper Unit Leaders and Mountain Sniper Courses—a combination rarely achieved by Army units. Under his leadership, the team consistently placed in the top 10% at the WPW competitions and ranked 8th at the 2022 International Sniper Competition at Fort Benning on their first appearance.
After retiring in 2023, Jeff continues to share his passion through long-range precision rifle instruction. He is a Leupold Pro Staff member, supports Leupold Academy courses, and draws on advanced training from Accuracy First, Rifles Only, and Stuteville Precision.
