Landen Jones serves as the Lead Law Enforcement Instructor and Program Director at Modern Day Sniper, bringing a powerful blend of military, SWAT, and instructional experience to the forefront of law enforcement sniper training. With a lifelong passion for marksmanship, Landen’s journey began with air rifles. It evolved into operational sniper roles in the U.S. Army and regional SWAT teams.
After enlisting straight out of high school, Landen earned his place in a U.S. Army sniper section and graduated from the prestigious U.S. Army Sniper School at Ft. Benning (now Ft. Moore). He was deployed to Afghanistan as a Sniper Section Team Leader, responsible for training and certifying snipers under combat conditions. Following his military service, he pursued a degree in Criminal Justice and started a career in law enforcement.
Since 2014, Landen has served as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol OIC, and Lead Sniper/Instructor for his SWAT team in Washington State. He is a certified firearms instructor through the WSCJTC and the National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association and has extensive experience training local and federal agencies.
At Modern Day Sniper, Landen leads the Law Enforcement Sniper Skills Clinics and is key in updating sniper protocols nationwide. His practical, mission-focused training offers invaluable insights for law enforcement professionals.
