Michael “Buck” Baccellieri is a respected sniper instructor, combat veteran, and industry leader in precision optics and marksmanship training. With a military career spanning both the U.S. Marine Corps and the Oregon Army National Guard, Buck has dedicated his life to advancing precision riflecraft across military, law enforcement, and civilian sectors.
Buck began his service in the Oregon Army National Guard at just 17.
After three years as an infantry rifleman, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in a Surveillance and Target Acquisition Platoon at Camp Pendleton, completing advanced training as an Assault Climber and Combat Water Safety Swimmer to enhance his reconnaissance and mobility skills operations.
After his USMC service, Buck returned to civilian life briefly as a diesel technician before reenlisting in the Oregon Guard—this time as a Sniper Team Leader. He went on to serve as a respected instructor at the National Guard Marksmanship Training Center (Sniper School) at Camp Robinson, AR, training the next generation of Army snipers.
Buck deployed multiple times to combat zones during OP Iraqi Freedom and OP Enduring Freedom, including one deployment as a private military contractor. His operational experience and instructional skillset have made him a sought-after Subject Matter Expert in sniper employment and gear development.
Buck is the Lead Instructor for Optics and Firearms at Leupold & Stevens Inc. He runs tactical training for military and law enforcement.
