Founded in 1938 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club is a private, volunteer-run facility located north of Boulder, Colorado. It stands out as one of the few ranges in the region to support Long-Distance Rifle Shooting from 200 to 1,000 yards, attracting long-range shooters serious about precision and competition.
The facility is split between a public "courtesy" range, which includes 12 shooting bays, three shotgun stations, and a combined skeet/trap field, and a members-only area with exclusive access to eight additional bays, a silhouette range, and multiple shotgun fields. Covered benches and gravel backstops make for stable shooting positions, and paved roads improve overall access.
Disciplines supported include High Power Rifle, Steel Challenge, IDPA, Tactical Pistol, and various shotgun sports. The archery range and junior programs round out BRPC's community offerings. Limited public access is granted during select Range Days and training events. Still, most long-range amenities remain exclusive to members.
