The South Kent Sportsman's Club (SKSC) is a member-operated range complex in Dorr, Michigan, serving precision rifle shooters and firearms enthusiasts across southwestern Michigan. The club's crown jewel is a dedicated 500-meter range, segmented with rimfire (40–100m) and centerfire (200–500m) backstops, as well as a covered firing line for prone or bench positions.
To shoot at 500 meters, members must meet specific prerequisites:
- Show membership ID and photo ID
- Firearm must be zeroed at 200 meters
- Demonstrate knowledge of optics and ballistics
- Follow the Range Officer's commands at all times
Use of the 500m range is by appointment only and requires the presence of an SKSC-certified Range Officer. During winter, special access must be requested due to limited maintenance.
