Washtenaw Sportsmens Club

Founded in 1946 and spanning over 190 acres of wooded terrain, the Washtenaw Sportsman’s Club offers structured facilities for serious civilian marksmen and organized competitors. The club supports rifle, pistol, muzzleloader, and archery disciplines, with an emphasis on precision shooting.

The rifle range complex includes:

• 100–600 yard Known Distance (KD) range with grass berm firing points at 200 to 600 yards
• Rifle House with enclosed benches (50–200 yards)
• Bench-Rest Structure (14 benches under cover) for 50–200 yard practice
• Dedicated long-range prone access with slings, rests, or bipods required beyond 300 yards
• 600-yard shooting requires qualification by WSC Range Officers and a documented “600-yard Card.”

Paper targets only are allowed; no human silhouettes outside CMP use. Muzzleloaders, long-range pistols (with rest), and centerfire rifles are supported under strict range rules. .50 BMG, full-auto, tracers, and bump-fire devices are prohibited. Range operations require the use of Open Bolt Indicators (OBIs), red flag protocols, and careful bench assignments to avoid crossfire.

While Cast Bullet, Hi-Power, Long Range Prone, and Varminter matches are open to the public, general use is restricted to members through a formal application process and meeting attendance requirements. Pricing was not listed.
