Learn the fundamentals of PRS competition shooting, stage planning, and positional rifle work out to 1,000+ yards.

This 2-day Intro to Precision Rifle Shooting (PRS) course is designed for shooters wanting to build a strong foundation in practical long-range competition shooting. Students learn the core principles behind PRS-style engagements, including positional shooting, stage planning, wind calls, ballistic data management, and efficient rifle handling under time constraints.
Training combines classroom instruction with live-fire stage work, giving students the opportunity to apply ballistic data and positional shooting techniques across a variety of practical scenarios. Strong emphasis is placed on building stable shooting positions, understanding movement efficiency, and developing a repeatable process for engaging targets at distance.
Key training areas include:
Students should arrive with a precision rifle capable of sub-MOA accuracy, a quality optic with adjustable turrets, support bags, a bipod, and match-grade ammunition. Additional recommended gear includes a tripod, a Kestrel, a rangefinder, a chronograph, and a ballistic app such as Hornady 4DOF.
This course is ideal for newer PRS shooters, hunters transitioning into competition, and long-range enthusiasts wanting to improve positional shooting and practical rifle handling before attending advanced-level PRS or field-style precision rifle courses.
