Long Range Precision Rifle

Badlands Tactical’s Long Range Precision Rifle course is a 4-day foundational program designed for both civilian and law enforcement shooters looking to master long-range fundamentals and practical application. No prior experience is required; this course is designed from the ground up to provide new marksmen with a solid and confidence-building foundation.

Students begin with classroom instruction covering scope mechanics, rifle setup, ballistics, wind formulas, data book usage, and mirage reading. Field sessions reinforce these skills with hands-on drills in range estimation, firing positions, and real-world wind calls.

Shooting begins with a 100-yard zero and progresses daily:

• Day 2: Zero in on 300 yards with an introduction to team spotting and firing.
• Day 3: Engage targets to 600 yards, complete a qualification course, and practice unknown distance estimation.
• Day 4: Confirm data out to 1,000 yards and finish with a final unknown distance challenge.

All students receive a rifle data book and full access to on-site lodging at The Village, included at no extra charge. Accommodations include 2-man rooms, half baths, showers, and a commercial kitchen.

Required gear includes:

• Precision rifle with 1 MOA capability
• 300 rounds of match ammo
• Bipod, spotting scope, binoculars, shooting mat
• Eye/ear protection, weather gear, hydration setup
