The Law Enforcement Sniper Tune Up at Thunder Ranch is a 30+ hour immersive program built for experienced snipers who need to sharpen, validate, and expand their operational capability. This course builds on prior training and focuses on applying precision rifle skills across complex urban and rural environments within the ranch’s 877-acre facility.
Students will operate through realistic scenarios that demand a high level of accountability, decision-making, and execution. The training emphasizes refining fundamentals under pressure while introducing advanced applications such as night operations, high-angle engagements, and mobile hide setups. Shooters will be required to collect and validate data, manage equipment, and apply ballistic solutions across varied distances and conditions.
Instruction is scenario-driven and performance-focused, incorporating long days and extended sessions that include mission planning and debriefs. Expect a heavy emphasis on team communication, fieldcraft, and solving problems that mirror real-world law enforcement sniper deployments.

It is suited to experienced operators looking to refine and stress-test their skills. Students must arrive with a rifle capable of 1 MOA or better, a full kit, and 600 rounds of match ammunition. The course is fully immersive, with on-site lodging and meals provided, and requires sustained performance across long training days.
