Rocky Mountain Precision Training in Colorado Springs, CO, is led by two retired SWAT snipers with over 35 years of combined law enforcement and long-range experience. Their mission is to provide realistic, terrain-based instruction that empowers shooters to push well beyond the 1,000-yard mark—whether for hunting, tactical use, or competitive precision shooting.
Courses are conducted on outdoor ranges surrounded by native terrain, wind, and elevation features. Most training is conducted on steel targets, providing immediate feedback, and shooters are expected to train in all weather conditions, thereby replicating field realism.
Course offerings include:
- Intro to Long Range (LR101) – Two-day course covering prone and positional shooting out to 1,000 yards, ballistic apps, chronograph use, wind calls, and fundamentals.
- Mid-Range Hunting Course – Practical field-based rifle work from 250 to 500 yards.
- Tactical AR Series (TC100–TC300) – Covers CQB to 300 yards, barricade work, movement, and LE qualification standards.
- High Angle Shooting (HAS100) – Practice shooting from 15°–29° angles—perfect for western elk hunters and mountain shooters.
- Private Lessons – Tailored 1-on-1 instruction with emphasis on long-range or tactical rifle skills.
Instructors hold patents in military arms, have published in _Precision Shooting_ and _The Accurate Rifle_, and routinely demo shots out to 1,005 yards or beyond.
