Peter Segreti brings decades of experience in elite law enforcement and tactical training to Sheep Dog Warrior in Catskill, New York. Beginning his law enforcement career in 1985 with the New York City Police Department, Pete served in the Emergency Service Unit (ESU) starting in 1996, where he conducted high-risk special operations citywide and became a lead instructor for over 12 years.
During his time in the ESU, Pete developed and delivered advanced training programs in SWAT operations, Active Shooter response, Hostage Rescue, Ballistic Shield tactics, Tubular Assaults, Dignitary Protection, Counter Assault Team operations, and Advanced Sniper training. His expertise led him to contribute to the development of New York State’s official SWAT and Sniper training standards under NYSDCJS.
In 2012, Pete was assigned to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force before retiring from the NYPD in 2013. Today, he continues to serve as a part-time Special Operations trainer and patrol member with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, teaching homeland security and tactical courses for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Pete holds numerous certifications and is a NYSDCJS-certified instructor in firearms and general topics. He is an active member of the NRA and also the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.
