SOLVING THE WEE HOURS

Designed for law enforcement snipers tasked with maintaining around-the-clock mission readiness, _Solving the Wee Hours_ is a 2-night course that focuses entirely on night vision application and low-light engagements. Whether responding to barricaded suspects at midnight or maintaining overwatch during long-duration operations, snipers must be capable, confident, and equipped to operate effectively after dark.

This course delivers both education and proficiency. You’ll gain technical insight into clip-on night vision devices (CNVDs), IR systems, and related accessories—along with hands-on training that builds real-world competency under night conditions. Scenario-driven drills will challenge your ability to coordinate gear, read terrain, and make tactical decisions when visibility is low but stakes are high.

What you’ll learn:

• CNVD system selection, operation, and mounting techniques
• IR device integration and coordinated use with magnified optics
• Night-focused sniper tactics and team communication
• Proposal guidance for equipment acquisition and testing
• Scenario-based drills to validate gear and sharpen decision-making

Training Format:

• Conducted entirely over 2 nights
• Emphasis on practical application during Day 2
• Course devices are available for hands-on use if your agency doesn’t issue CNVDs

Gear Requirements:

• Precision rifle (1 MOA or better, up to .338), optic with MOA/mil reticle
• CNVD, IR laser/illuminator (if available), tripod, and rear support
• 200 rounds of match-grade ammo
• White light flashlight or headlamp, ballistic app, laser rangefinder
• Field gear: hydration, protective clothing, sling, data book, pack
