Jeff Chang is a career law enforcement officer and seasoned military veteran who brings over thirty years of tactical experience to his instruction. He has served as a police officer in three major cities—including Los Angeles and Fort Wayne—culminating in a long-standing role with the largest metropolitan agency in the Southwest. Jeff spent 12 years in law enforcement as a SWAT sniper and sniper team leader, developing deep expertise in tactical precision shooting and urban operations.
Parallel to his law enforcement service, Jeff completed multiple enlistments with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, holding roles from Artillery Operations Chief to Platoon Sergeant to Scout/Sniper. He deployed to Iraq during OIF 2-2 and later served in private security, conducting sniper overwatch on high-threat diplomatic missions.
Jeff currently teaches firearms at Arizona’s largest police academy and continues to teach through his companies, Dead Drift Consulting and Standing Offhand. He co-chaired the Arizona Tactical Officers Association Sniper SME Committee for nine years and has developed sniper evaluation and selection programs for U.S. and foreign units.
