summary

The Joshua Clark Advanced Long Range Clinic is a five-day immersive sniper training experience held entirely in a rugged, remote desert environment. Co-led by seasoned LE/MIL instructors, this course blends decades of operational experience with real-world problem-solving scenarios—offering more than just a shooting class; it's a proving ground.

Hosted on private land with 360° engagement opportunities and virtually no range limitations, this course is as much about mindset and self-reliance as it is about marksmanship. Campfires replace hotels, and storms become part of the curriculum. You'll live, train, and learn on-site—testing your gear, your skills, and your mental game under actual field conditions.

Core training encompasses advanced concealment techniques, daily sniper and spotter communication drills, dynamic target engagement in the wind and variable terrain, range card creation, and multiple observer-guided stalks. Environmental realism is central—expect sideways rain, wind you didn't account for, and the kind of target challenges you won't see on a square range.

Course Highlights:

  • 5 days of on-site, live-in desert field training
  • Minimal flat-range shooting—focus on fieldcraft, adaptability, and target engagement from improvised positions
  • Range card construction, wind unknowns, and concealment-focused scenarios
  • Sniper/spotter team communication and problem-solving
  • Guest instruction from nationally respected industry leaders

Location & Conditions:
Remote desert terrain, 45 minutes from the nearest town. No luxury—bring your tent or trailer, stove, and shovel.

Gear Requirements:

  • Duty/match-grade precision rifle (no .50 cal), 600 rounds
  • Tripod, bipod, sling, support bags
  • NVG-compatible optics and ballistic app
  • Full-field sustainment gear, including food, hydration, flashlight/headlamp, and firewood

Who Should Attend:
Current or former LE snipers with at least 1 year of service and a certified sniper school background. Supervisors and cadre welcome.

A tribute course renamed in honor of Marine Scout Sniper Joshua M. Clark—this is long-range training at its rawest and most authentic.
Not for the faint-hearted. It is ideal for snipers seeking to hone their real-world capabilities in unpredictable terrain.
