LE Sniper Basic Course

This 5-day program is Designed for law enforcement officers transitioning into the sniper role; the course establishes a foundation in tactical marksmanship, mission planning, and critical thinking necessary to succeed in the most demanding operational environments.

Rather than focusing solely on passing a qualification, this course emphasizes genuine understanding, operational independence, and immediate team readiness. Graduates are equipped to support 90% of everyday LE sniper tasks, including warrant service, overwatch, surveillance, and critical incident response. You’ll not only learn how to shoot—you’ll learn how to think, solve, and perform.

Core topics include:

• Marksmanship and ballistics (external, terminal, and digital)
• Optics, observation, and hide site construction
• Camouflage, concealment, barriers, and extended-range shooting
• Working around armor and low-light/NVG considerations
• Policy discussions and team integration

Where and how you’ll train:

• Day-and-night range instruction with on-site breaks
• Tactical drills covering crowd control, barricades, and overwatch
• Use of night vision, IR, and concealment methods (if available)

Gear Requirements:

• Bolt/semi-auto rifle (sub-MOA, non-magnum), pro-grade optic
• 500 rounds match-grade ammo, tripod, sling, rangefinder, bino
• NV devices, IR light (if available), armor, gas mask
• Data book, ballistic app, calculator, shooting mat
• Field gear: hydration, snacks, gloves, boots, notepad, headlamp
