This 2-day course equips law enforcement snipers with the knowledge and practical skills to construct, occupy, and operate from a concealed vehicle-based hide.
As tactical operations require greater mobility and rapid repositioning, vehicle hides provide an underutilized capability that enhances sniper flexibility across various missions.
Whether covering a buy-bust, political rally, or high-risk warrant, the ability to deploy directly from a vehicle gives teams faster response options and expanded fields of observation—all while remaining low-profile. This course helps snipers avoid common pitfalls associated with first-time vehicle hide use by applying field-tested techniques drawn from real-world operations, both stateside and overseas.
Course Structure:
- Day 1: Classroom instruction on vehicle hide theory, site selection, material use, and tactical considerations
- Day 2: Field-based application with your assigned or designated vehicle, constructing and testing various hides
