Sean Harris is a Marine veteran and retired Fort Worth SWAT Sniper Team Leader with over 25 years in law enforcement. He teaches advanced sniper leadership and public venue response courses across Texas.
Sean Harris is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and highly respected law enforcement sniper instructor with over three decades of combined military and police service. He served six years in the USMC Infantry, working in Amphibious Reconnaissance and as a Scout Sniper before transitioning into law enforcement in 1995.
Sean spent 18 years as a full-time SWAT operator with the Fort Worth Police Department, leading the Sniper Team as Team Leader and Program Instructor. His responsibilities included mission planning, sniper deployment, training development, and qualifications. He also managed the agency’s reality-based training, active threat/shooter programs, and 40mm less-lethal training. In addition, he is Aerial Platform certified and serves as a Tactical Flight Officer (TFO).
As a Regional Director and Adjunct Instructor for the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association (TTPOA), Sean continues to train law enforcement personnel across the state in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Sniper disciplines. His certifications include Police Sniper Instructor, 50 Cal Instructor, Active Shooter Instructor, Reality-Based Training Instructor, and Patrol Rifle/Pistol Instructor.
