Tessa Wyrick is a nationally ranked long-range and extreme long-range (ELR) competitor, bringing nearly a decade of precision rifle experience to Gunsite Academy. She began shooting long-range in 2015 and has since earned a reputation as one of the sport’s most capable and consistent performers.
In 2018, Tessa secured a 1st place Team win and 3rd place in the Heavy Class Score at the World Championships for the 1000-yard 50 BMG, shooting from the ground against traditional benchrest rifles. She excelled in ELR, winning the 1.6-mile challenge in 2021 and placing 20th overall and Top Lady among 245 shooters at the 2022 Nightforce ELR Challenge.
Tessa competes in the National Rifle League and Precision Rifle Series, demonstrating her versatility across various match styles. In addition to her long-range expertise, she is very skilled in shotgun, carbine, and handgun disciplines.
