Justin Lipska is a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and former sniper instructor who serves as a lead long-range instructor at Vortex Edge, teaching shooters how to build confidence, precision, and repeatable performance at distance.


Justin Lipska is a 10-year U.S. military veteran, including eight years with the U.S. Army’s 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), where he served as a Weapons Sergeant on an SFOD-A team. During his time in Special Forces, he also worked as a sniper and sniper instructor, training advanced long-range marksmanship and sniper operations while supporting missions across Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
At Vortex Edge in Barneveld, Wisconsin, Justin has become a key figure in the facility’s long-range training programs, serving in instructor and leadership roles tied to the Vortex Edge brand. His teaching focuses on the fundamentals that actually drive distance hits, including rifle zero, wind calls, ballistics, recoil management, optics setup, and practical shot execution.
